Gore to Waikiwi Classic

The 2022 edition of the Geo W Wilson and Sons Limited Gore to Waikiwi Classic is set to take place on 20 August!

As the name implies, this classic handicap race takes riders from Gore to Waikiwi on a challenging 64km route. 
The open handicap is open to riders in the U19 category, Elite category, and Masters category - sign-on is from 1pm for a 1:30pm start.

There will also be Junior Classic for riders under 17 and under 15 and under, starting from Hedgehope with a 1pm sign on for 1:30pm start, racing over 29km to the finish on McIvor Road, and will be run as a handicap race. Riders in the U13 category will race from Mabel Bush Hall, 1pm sign on for 1:30pm start, racing over 19km to the same finish.

After the race the prizegiving will be held at the Waikiwi Bowling Club, from around 3:30pm. Please bring a plate to share.
